Pauline Isn't There!

Ms Hanson is a clever cove, more cunning than you think
For she's the master trickster who, quicker than a blink,
can escape the reach of logic and defy cool reason's stare —
When you think you've spied the racist — why, Pauline isn't there!

Pauline Hanson, Pauline Hanson, there's no-one like Ms Hanson
Take care to watch your back if you're black or if you're Asian
Her ability to scapegoat would make a Goebbels stare
But when you're sure you've found a racist — why, Pauline isn't there!
You may hear her voice a-quiver, you may spot her flaming hair
But when you think you've snared a bigot — why Pauline isn't there!

She's outwardly respectable (she doesn't wear white sheets)
And her talk of "equal treatment" can reach unprecedented feats
But when the migrant intake's cut, or a refugee deported
Or when a racial slur is spoke, or "white supremacy" is flaunted
When a black man dies in prison, or an ethnic fund stripped bare
Ay, there's the wonder of the thing — Ms Hanson isn't there!

She doesn't tote a burning cross, or go lynching Thursday nights
You'll not catch her paying dues to the Klan or League of Rights
There may be an allegation in the press or on the air
But its useless to investigate — for Pauline isn't there!
And when the racists come a-marching, and people stop and say
"It must have been Ms Hanson!" — she'll be a mile away
You'll be sure to catch her smiling, and taking scones and tea
proclaiming all she stands for is "race equality"!

Pauline Hanson, Pauline Hanson, there's no-one like Ms Hanson
Defending White Australia from "multicultural expansion"
She always has a glib phrase — "Black privilege isn't fair" —
But whenever racial crime or hate take place — why, Pauline's never there!
