You bignoted on Mabo

I thought you were sincere,

But what do I find

when I peer in your mind

At the turning of the year?

A little mechanical masterpiece,

With insects striking the gong,

Fiddling, faddling, fadoodling,

Kicking your brain-box along.

Hey, man, you gave us Mabo,

You said it was sacred land.

Hey, throw it in the garbo,

You've got a chain saw in your hand.

A chain saw only Man can make,

That tears and grinds and tortures,

That slaughters the love

in a tree's deep breast,

Hey, look what Paul has bought yez!

I thought you were fair dinkum,

Is there anything you understand?

When you desecrate a vow,

and you allow

Woodchippers in our land.
