The Launch of Friends of the Earth's Nuclear Freeways campaign - a delegation of Friends of the Earth members and Batman electoral residents will travel over 3,000kms on one of the proposed routes for the transport of Australia's radioactive waste.

The group will meet with numerous councils, community groups and emergency service organisations on the transport route from Lucas Heights to Muckaty.

The launch will include a photo opportunity, speakers and unveiling of the radioactive waste trailer.

Launched outside Minister Ferguson's office to inform him his plans to dump radioactive waste at Muckaty is UNWANTED and to highlight the risks associated with transporting radioactive wastes through rural towns, communities and cities.

Music, lots of fun, nuclear news, surprises and some pre-election action!!!!
