National anti-nuclear symposium

Issue

MELBOURNE — A national anti-nuclear symposium will be held at the Victorian State Library on September 15 and at the Victorian Trades Hall Council the next day. It is being organised by the Beyond Nuclear Initiative, a collaborative project between the Poola Foundation (Tom Kantor Fund), Friends of the Earth and the Australian Conservation Foundation.

On the first day there will be presentations from Indigenous representatives from the Northern Territory, as well as Professor Tilman Ruff from the Medical Association for Prevention of War, Professor Richard Broinowski, Dr Mark Diesendorf and Julie Anne Richards of the Climate Action Network Australia.

The second day of the symposium will be dedicated workshop discussions on building the anti-nuclear campaign across Australia.
