Support the campaign against the sanctions

In Australia, the Worker Communist Party of Iraq and the Democratic Socialist Party are calling on Green Left Weekly readers to show solidarity with the just struggle of the Iraqi people for the immediate lifting of the sanctions. You are urged to join the protest actions to be held at United States consulates and embassies on August 3, the international day of solidarity with the campaign to lift the economic blockade.

For more information, contact the Worker Communist Party of Iraq at <shemal1@ihug.com.au> or <zarya@ihug.com.au>, or the Democratic Socialist Party at <dsp@dsp.org.au>, phone (02) 9690 1977 or 9687 5134. Watch GLW's Activist calendar for more details in coming weeks.

For more information on the effects of the sanctions on the Iraqi people, email <shemal1@ihug.com.au>.
