National Aboriginal & Islander Day March, Melbourne, July 6, 2012: More than 600 people from all over Victoria marched to celebrate NAIDOC week. Protesters demanded land rights and chanted: "Always was, always will be Aboriginal land!"

A highlight of the demonstration was the impromptu takeover of a key intersection, where people performed traditional dance to the sounds of a didjeridoo. The march finished with speeches celebrating NAIDOC and encouraging people to continue the struggle for justice.
