Good progress on fund appeal

Issue

Each week Green Left Weekly brings you the news that isn't usually covered by the establishment press. As a source of information to the progressive movements, Green Left remains unequalled in the quality and breadth of information and comment. But quality such as this doesn't come cheaply. Each year, we need to raise money to keep Green Left going, and to do this we need your help.

At the year's half-way point, the 1996 Green Left Weekly fund appeal is just under half way to its target of $120,000. So far, nearly $52,000 has been raised to keep the progressive and independent media voice of the left and green forces operating.

You can support the Green Left Weekly project in a number of ways, one of which is to donate to the 1996 fund appeal. Any donation, large or small, helps contribute to breaking the media monopoly in Australia, and will enable Green Left Weekly to survive these financially difficult times.

Having no corporate sponsorship or big business backing, Green Left relies on its readers and supporters to bridge the gap between the cover price and the cost of production. Page 12 has details of how you can help Green Left Weekly it's your paper.
