A powerful interactive play by Graham Jones & Jepke Goudsmit about a revolutionary event in Australia’s history that stirred up key questions about racism and indigenous rights. The historical Freedom Ride is a story of shared activism by Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal campaigners against racism. Our team of 9 actors, augmented by 7 volunteers from the audience, will take you on this famous trip, as others did nearly 50 years ago, to stop apartheid in Australia. THE FREEDOM RIDE plays at St Luke’s Hall, 11 Stanmore Rd, Enmore for two weekends only: May 16, 17, 18 & 23, 24, 25 (Opening night is sold out.)
