Brisbane Activist Centre, 74B Wickham St, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia 4006
Whether it is protesting right-wing governments, leading student demonstrations or sitting in for Land Rights, young people have always taken up the leads in activism that has fought for social justice. However, activism is more than just waving placards and shouting. A lot of thought, organisation and effort goes into building the movements that we need to win change in society, and secure a system based on democracy, ecological sustainability and egalitarianism.
More than anything, we need a new generation of socialists, feminists, environmentalists, anti-racists and others who are willing to take up the struggle for a better tomorrow.
