Two films about the struggles of Indigenous Australians & Indigenous Palestinians.
2:15pm: Our Generation. Through the stories of the Yolngu of Arnhem Land, the film looks at the government's ongoing policies of paternalism and assimilation that continue to wreak havoc on their lives.
5pm: The Land Speaks Arabic. Using original source documents, rare archival footage, testimonies of witnesses and interviews with historians, this award-winning documentary shines a spotlight on the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Arab population in Palestine that began in 1945.
Doors open 2pm.
