Film screening: Capitalism, a Love Story.

Thursday, June 10, 2010 - 18:30

A film by Michael Moore, followed by discussion. Documentary examining how the recent economic crisis affected ordinary people in the United States. At the behest of the 'free market', people lost their homes and their jobs. Banks got bailed out, but people continued to suffer. With the Greek economic crisis now threatening to bring down the European Union and workers being told they must accept pay cuts, welfare cuts and a new round of austerity measures, this documentary is still as timely as ever. It's time to ask: Is the problem a few bad executives at Goldman Sachs or capitalism itself?
