Film screening: America before colonisation.

Saturday, September 8, 2012 - 19:30

The European colonisation of the Americas 500 years ago juxtaposed two very different forms of agriculture separated by continents: one livestock-based devastating land and inland waters, the other land-based allowing space, wilderness and animals to roam free. Both continents had around 100 million people but the latter was essentially de-populated and totally transformed in a startling story of invasion, colonization and deadly disease. 7:30pm. Magpie House Wholistic Centre, 48 Main St, Upwey.
