This is a free public event displaying A-bomb artefacts from the Hiroshima Peace Museum. Hiroshima and Nagasaki experienced the horrors of nuclear weapons for the first time in human history. The two cities were destroyed instantly. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed. Among those who managed to survive, suffering inflicted by the A-bomb radiation continues even to this day. This important exhibition from the City of Hiroshima features artefacts from the bombings, as well as activities to promote a nuclear-weapon-free world. Supported by: International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, Hiroshima Peace Museum, Medical Association for Prevention of War, Japanese for Peace, Gasworks Arts Park. Launch: October 9, 6:30pm. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8am–4pm. Saturday–Sunday 8am–5pm. Gasworks Arts Park, 21 Graham St, Albert Park.
