Esso protest continues

A protest by maintenance workers outside Esso’s Longford gas plant in Victoria has entered its 12th week.

The dispute began when Esso’s maintenance contractor UGL told workers they had to sign a new enterprise agreement agreed to by three contractors in Western Australia, which then applied nationally. The workers were told to accept 15% to 30% wage cuts on two week fly-in, fly-out rosters or lose their jobs.

The workers are fighting back. But to win against the sixth biggest company in the world, they need support. Can you spare $20 to donate to the campaign?
