Monday, October 12, 6pm. The horrendous bombing of a peace rally in Ankara on Sunday killed 128 people. Ever since the June 7 elections dealt a big blow to President Recip Tayyip Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP), depriving it of a majority, it has been waging war on Turkey's Kurdish minority. The regime is trying to create an atmosphere of crisis and violence in the hope of securing a majority in fresh on elections November 1. Whether directly or indirectly, the regime is responsible for the latest massacre. Stand in solidarity with Kurdish and progressive forces in Turkey. 6pm. Federation Square, City. Organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (HDP), Melbourne.
