Why

Come and join us for the launch of Earthworker Construction Cooperative at Black Spark. Earthworker Construction will initially offer 100% union residential carpentry, labouring and plumbing services and small renovations. In time we are aiming to also offer worker owned and controlled construction labour hire services in the commercial sector, and scale up to eco friendly building homes and large renovations in residential.

Earthworker Construction joins sister co-ops like Redgum cleaning, Earthworker Energy, Hope Co-op, Earthworker Smart Energy and Copower in seeking to use demand for products and services in the city to create better outcomes and alternative employment pathways for communities facing structural disadvantage and discrimination and to help create alternative employment in coal reliant regions as coal is phased out.

Our launch party will be an opportunity to hear about the coop, discuss the earthworker project, and help raise funds to cover startup costs like insurance, purchase of tools, and account setup costs. Live music performances to be confirmed soon - watch this space!
