Individual

  • Sleep deprivation, often seated in painful positions.

  • Painful handcuffing.

  • Beating, including targeting of genitals.

  • Prolonged incommunicado detention (described by the UN special rapporteur on torture as "itself a practice constituting cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment".

Collective

  • Destruction of homes.

  • Restriction on freedom of movement between Palestinian towns.

  • Curfews for Palestinians and other restrictions on everyday activities.
