A colleague of lawyer Julian Burnside decided to spend his own money printing and distributing 35,000 posters with the below design during the federal election campaign. A week after the posters (and payment) was accepted by Red Cap Distributors, owned by Coalition supporter Salmat, the company contacted Burnside's colleague and told him that it could not deliver the posters because of their "graphic content". On September 23, Australia Post also refused to distribute the posters, on the grounds that the design is "offensive". A high-resolution version of the poster can be found at http://www.crikey.com.au/images/2004/10/01-YW9FE8SG00.jpg.
