Cocktail and exhibition night

ADELAIDE — Resistance and the Democratic Socialist Party held a very successful cocktail and exhibition night on August 12 to raise funds for Green Left Weekly.

Featured were the work of Jim Cane, an illustrator whose cartoons are often found in the pages of Green Left Weekly and who designed the cover for its first issue, photographs of Vietnam by Richard Stone, art by Resistance members Tom Phillips and Lindsey Danielson. Other artists included Vaughan Green, Ben Walker, Penny Saunders and a range of political posters featuring East Timor and Queensland campaigns.

Jenny Clark provided entertainment along with Greg Fryer from Lee Harvey and the Oswalds playing didgeridoo. Guests enjoyed the artwork and performers while partaking of cocktails such as Cuba Libre and Nuklea Frei Pacific.
