March 11, 6pm. MUA Office, 365 Sussex St, Sydney
On February 22nd we marched for climate justice – now it’s time to organise and win.
Join unionists, students, and community members on March 11 at the MUA hall to hear how to organise for climate justice in your community, and gain the tools you need to mobilise for the May 1st and May 15 strikes.
This event will be held on unceded Gadigal land, where First Nation’s people have been fighting against dispossession and environmental destruction for over two hundred years.
You will hear from unionists, students, and community members about how they have organised their workplaces and communities to take serious climate justice. They will guide you through how we can organise a movement that stops all new fossil fuel projects, ensures a just transition for effected workers, and wins rights to land and water for First Nation’s people.
This event is open to all members of the community who want to fight for climate justice.
The Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) is a coalition of student, union, and NGO groups uniting to fight for climate justice, workers rights, and First Nation’s justice.
