Public meeting
A preview of the soon-to-be-released Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation. The report provides an assessment of the latest scientific knowledge on the relationship between climate change and extreme weather and climate events. It looks at how climatic, environmental and human factors combine to create disasters and other impacts on society, and what we can do to reduce their risks. The full report will be released in late March 2012. Speakers: Neville Nicholls; John Handmer; Padma Narsey Lal.
