Conferences & public forums

Naarm/Melbourne

Why

To take the climate crisis seriously Victoria needs a plan to replace all three remaining coal power stations by 2030. But recent announcements – including that Yallourn could stay open for another seven years – indicate that we are not on track.

Sign up to our Yallourn closure briefing to hear from energy analysts and Latrobe Valley community leaders about what this decision means and what the next steps are to get the action we need.

WHEN: Wednesday April 21, 7 – 8.15pm

WHERE: Online

SPEAKERS:

  • Bruce Mountain – Director of the Victoria Energy Policy Centre
  • Wendy Farmer – President of Latrobe Valley community group, Voices of the Valley
  • Tony Wolfe – Latrobe Valley coal worker
  • Environment Victoria campaigners
