Palestinian solidarity activists rallied in Sydney on May 11, commemorating al Nakba and calling for justice for Palestine. Al Nakba refers to events in 1948 when more than 700,000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes by Israel and have never been able to return.

This year Israel is hosting Eurovision on Nakba day. Activists in Australia have been calling on SBS to boycott televising Eurovision and for musicians to boycott the song contest.
