The Cutting Edge: Toxic Border — American companies taking advantage of Mexico's lack of enforcement of its environmental laws has meant that the region just south of the border has become a toxic hell. Some of the best-known corporate names have exploited the cheap transport and labour costs in the area, only to leave it contaminated. Many women who work in the area have given birth to damaged children, but as environmental destruction knows no borders women in Texas have also begun to be affected. SBS, 8.30pm, Tuesday, August 16.
