Movie: Whoops (1993) — Set in contemporary Hungary, Gyula Maar's comedy revolves around a couple in their 60s who are desperately trying to cope with post-communist reality. SBS, Wednesday, January 24, 11.05pm. Greenhouse — Shows greenhouse and ozone problems, how we squander valuable resources and changes we can all make. SBS, Friday, January 26, 4.40pm. Hidden Tradition — A doco that examines the secret and suppressed history of women priests in the early Christian church. ABC TV, Monday, January 29, 1.25am. Movie: The Rabbit Hunt (1994) — The true story of how a farming family protected two Soviet soldiers on the run from a Nazi death camp. There was outrage in Austria when this film was released. From Austria. SBS, Monday, January 29, 9.30pm. The Zapatistas — A French journalist enters the heart of Zapatista territory, high in the mountains of south-east Mexico, 1500 kilometres from the capital. In a moving encounter, he meets the elusive leader of the guerillas, Commandante Marcos, and reveals him to be an articulate, gentle and amusing character who explains the background to the indigenous peasant uprising which began in 1994 and which has generated support from throughout the country. SBS, Tuesday, January 30, 8.30pm. The Peasant Premier — This film details Nikita Khrushchev's rise to power, his rule in the Ukraine and his complex relationship with Stalin and Beria. Movie: The Wall — Yuilmaz Guney's last film reconstructs events which led to a revolt in the children's sections of Ankara prison in 1976. SBS, Thursday, February 1, 12.15am.
