MELBOURNE — Twenty-two leading trade unionists and labour researchers from the Asia-Pacific region will participate in the "Workers Change the World" conference here from September 29 to October 3. The conference is being organised by Australia Asia Worker Links.

Discussion will focus on three major themes of significance to workers in the region: deregulation with an analysis of the current economic trends and their impact on the work force; women and work; health and safety.

The international delegates will represent militant and progressive trade unions and worker organisations from Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
