Activists condemn US sanctions

By Emily Potts

CANBERRA — At the University of Canberra on March 10, members of Resistance held a speak-out against the United States government's sanctions on Iraq.

The students displayed many of the items absurdly under sanction and performed street theatre showing a US soldier armed with a machine gun confronting an Iraqi civilian armed with a toothbrush (one of the items under sanction).

A similar action was organised by Resistance activists at the Australian National University the following day.
