ay and Lesbian Mardi Gras was an exuberant festivity, with an estimated 400,000 watching the parade, which festival organisers described as a celebration of the community's self-pride, or participating in other festival activities. The celebrations, which went on late into the night, were marked by a spirit of good humour and solidarity. Photos by Murray Addison.
