Join the strike in Penrith for declaring a climate emergency!

Friday 13 March, 12-2pm at 510 High Street, Penrith

Penrith was the hottest place on Earth in January.

This is not normal.

Despite this, Penrith council has yet to declare a climate emergency. This is unacceptable, we are in the midst of the most devastating effects of climate change, from ravaging bushfires to the polar opposite with floods in a matter of weeks. This alone should be more than enough reason to declare a climate emergency.

Water is not for Sale! In the lead up to World Water Day on March 20, and in solidarity with river communities Walgett, Brewarrina and Bourke join us at Sydney Water offices in Parramatta to say:

Water is not for Sale! Water for Rivers and Communities!
Take Water off the Market, end Water Trading!
Stop big corporate pumping when rivers have low to medium flows!
Ban floodplain harvesting!

Adani needs insurance to build their climate-wrecking coal mine. They simply can’t progress critical work without it. Right now, insurance broker Marsh is shopping around the globe to find a company willing to insure this risky, destructive project.

Join us on March 17th at 10:45 as we rally outside Marsh's office at Parramatta to call on them to rule out helping Adani’s coal project. Our action is part of a national week of #StopAdani action from 16-20th of March!
