Former Liberal Prime Minister John Howard has been invited to Sydney Uni by the University’s Liberal Club, to celebrate the ‘legacy’ of the Howard Government. This legacy included horrors continued today - war, anti-refugee racism, the racist NT intervention, not to mention attacks on public education. The multi-layered film is humorous art itself, poking fun at the "trendiness" of street art, the millionaires who want to purchase it, and revealing the contradictions of the art form. More than 100 men have allegedly been sent to gay concentration camps in Chechnya where they've been rounded up and tortured as part of an anti-gay crackdown. A group of 78ers have condemned the alleged gay concentration camps in Chechnya and plan to protest them at the Consulate of the Federation of Russian Republics in Sydney. The most effective opposition to the Islamic State killers has come from the revolutionary democratic wing of the Kurdish freedom movement — the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), and the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units in Rojava in northern Syria.
