More than 50 people - like Ranjini and her children - have been found to be "genuine" refugees yet face a lifetime in prison because ASIO considers them guilty of thought crimes. Join this vigil to ensure refugees like Ranjini can be freed. Gather Wesley Church Corner (cnr Hay and William Sts) Proceed to Cultural Centre.

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez was reelected on a radical program for socialism with an increased vote on October 7. This meeting will discuss the meaning and significance of the result. Guest speakers: Pip Hinman (Venezuela solidarity brigade participant) & Chris Jenkins (Socialist Alliance).
