Refugee Rights bus to travel to Curtin Detention Centre. Departs East Perth public transport centre (East Perth train station) 7pm on April 21 (assemble 6pm) returning to Perth April 27.

The decision by the Rudd ALP government to deny settlement in Australia to all future asylum seekers coming by boat, instead dumping them in Papua New Guinea, reflects an appalling new low in racist vilification and scapegoating of refugees by both major political parties and the Australian media.

This meeting will be analyzing why this scapegoating occurs and what interests it serves.
