Launch of the Melbourne Wear It Purple campaign to target homophobic bullying amongst young people and raise awareness about homophobia in society. It is designed to raise awareness about the shocking levels of youth suicide, depression and anxiety specific to sex, sexuality and gender-diverse people.

The International Commemoration Day for Dead and Injured Workers, on April 28, is a major date for workers and trade unions around the world. The day marks the right of workers to a safe and healthy workplace. Millions of workers either die or get sick every year due to unsafe working conditions.
