The Peoples Climate Assembly is a coalition of action groups working together to make a stand against the ignorance of the Australian government and to demand real action in the face of the climate change emergency. 

Here's the updated schedule for the Peoples Climate Assembly, 2-6 February at Parliament House in Canberra. The program begins on Sunday February 2, 11am with a Welcome ro Country at the Aboriginal Embassy next to Old Parliament House.

Canberra Refugee Support invites you and your friends to a Fabulous Chinese Banquet at the Noble Palace Restaurant, 28 Corinna Street, Phillip (adjacent to Woden Shopping Centre), Tuesday 12 October, 6.30 pm for 7 pm. Cost for dinner is $35 per person. Drinks are available from the bar on a pay-as-you-go basis, or BYO (wine only, $6 corkage). Bookings are essential. Arawang’s Great Green Fete will feature sustainability stallholders from the local region, as well as a real commitment to ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’. Browse the stalls selling second hand books, clothes, toys and homewares, and choose from handmade craft, homemade cakes and home grown plants. We will also have ‘green thinking’ workshops from Canberra Sustainable Homes and Gardens and Pedal Power, among others, as well as music performances, sport, games and a magic show.
