This organising meeting is to explore the possibility of a mini-campaign in the lead-up to the Labor Party's national conference (held in Adelaide, for the first time since 1979, from July 26th-28th).

We want Labor to finally commit to raising Newstart Allowance, which at $269 per week, is $160 per week below the poverty-line.

Come along to learn how to defend you rights when dealing with Centrelink and job agencies, why we have poverty and unemployment in a country as wealthy as Australia and how we can struggle for a fairer world.

Stick around as summer school will be followed by

The Rainbow Youth Collective is an Adelaide based collective of queer and straight youth. This newly found group is banding together with the aim of ending homophobia in high schools, universities, the workplace and in wider society.

So if you are interested in helping us ending homophobia throughout our youth or just wish to make connections and share your experiences then come on down.
