Well, here is your chance to learn the knowledge and skills you need to stand up for yourself and other unemployed people who experience this stressful, punishing system, at this special advocacy training day.

We will be covering how to deal with common problems, like job agencies ignoring your health/personal issues, trying to force excessive, unfair obligations onto you, and how to make complaints.

Adelaide launch of Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary Energy Plan

Friday the 3rd of December from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Elder Hall, North Tce, Adelaide

presented by CLEAN SA and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adelaide University. Matthew Wright, Executive Director of Beyond Zero Emissions will be addressing the event, alongside a range of eminent guests.

At the end of Anti-Poverty Week, we will follow the route of the 1931 Beef March, one of the largest mobilisations of unemployed people in South Australian history.

You are invited to join us for all or part of this 15km march, during which we will stop at Job Prospects Adelaide and Coca-Cola Amatil.

We will finish with a community picnic in the city, at roughly 4pm (location TBC).

Approximately 30,000 refugees are living on temporary visas in our community with their futures in limbo. Many families are separated by the harsh system, and people despair of ever being reunited. Many lack access to education and citizenship and fear being deported to danger.

Refugees on Manus and Nauru are approaching their fifth year languishing offshore.
