Ark Tribe is a construction worker from South Australia facing six months in jail. He has been charged with not attending an interview with the Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC).

Green Left Weekly will be hosting radical folk singer, David Rovics at St Luke’s Hall, Whitmore Square Adelaide.

David, has travelled the world, playing for audiences large and small at cafes, pubs, universities, churches, union halls and protest rallies. He has shared the stage with a veritable of who's who of the left in two dozen countries, and has had his music featured on Democracy Now!, BBC, Al-Jazeera and other networks. WATER and CLIMATE CHANGE: an activist seminar

Last month 30,000 people gathered in Cochabamba, Bolivia to do what world leaders had so spectacularly failed to do a few months before in Copenhagen, develop an agreement to address the looming climate catastrophe and ensure a safe climate for future generations. While the Copenhagen summit was splashed across the international media, Cochabamba has been discussed remarkably little in the mainstream press. Yet this was a significant meeting for the international climate movement and an inspiring example of the people, energy and movements that can ensure a safe climate future.
