Siki, whose real name was M'Barick Fall, was born in Senegal and became the first black to win the world light heavy weight title in boxing in 1922. Movie: Underground (Clandestinos) — A love story set in the context of an underground organisation fighting against the Batista dictatorship in Cuba in 1958. SBS, 12.50am, Thursday, August 18.

Parks or People — This documentary looks at two different ways of conserving Cameroon's rainforests. SBS, 2.30pm, Saturday, August 20.

TV World: Homelands — Winner of the Best Documentary at the Film Critics' Circle of Australia Award, Homelands tells the story of Maria and Carlos Robles, who left El Salvador and arrived in suburban Melbourne in 1984 to escape right-wing death squads. SBS, 8.30pm, Sunday, August 21.

Fine Cut: The Truth Lies in Rostock — Just two years ago a hostel for Vietnamese guest workers in the German town of Rostock was besieged by a mob of right wingers. At the height of tension the police withdrew from the scene for two hours giving the go-ahead to the onslaught that followed. The documentary tries to look beyond skinheads throwing molotov cocktails; it raises questions about the attitude of government and police. SBS, 8.30pm, Monday, August 22.
