Cops turn nasty at protest

ADELAIDE — Police here surpassed themselves in a display of illegal violence and brutality on August 15.
About 140 protesters had been waiting in the cold at the gates of wharf 20 for about three hours when 22 semitrailers loaded with Roxby Downs uranium rolled up at 3 a.m.
Without giving the warning required by law, police attacked the non-violent protest at the gate, running into the crowd with dogs and horses, grabbing people by their hair and clothing and throwing them to the ground.
Police then forced the gate open, trapping a group of protesters between it and the fence. Apparently not satisfied with this, they then sent a horse into the confined area. n

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
