Resistance clubs in successful O-Week

BRISBANE — Resistance Clubs on campuses all around Brisbane launched a lively year of activity with highly successful Orientation Week stalls and meetings over the middle weeks of February.
Hundreds of students on the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University joined the Resistance Clubs on each campus.
Many expressed interest in future activities concerning the environment, women's rights, Aboriginal rights, Third World struggles and socialist education.
Resistance stalls all over the universities and colleges were lively meeting places, with colourful banners and literature galore, right through the O-Week period.
Resistance, Australia's largest and most active socialist youth organisation, has embarked on a special drive to build the organisation in 1994, and to involve progressive-minded young people in action around key issues.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
