Seizing the night

BRISBANE — Green it Up! presented a special event on September 16. Nineteen women performers demonstrated their talents for an audience of more than 100 people.

A mixture of poetry, storytelling and music, diverse and colourful, covered issues from incest to discrimination, sexism, liberation and empowerment. A strong contingent from the Brisbane Writers Community was present.

An empowering experience of women's solidarity has led to the planning of a "Wild women seize the night II" on November 25. Women interested in performing on the night please contact Lynda on (07) 358 4875.
