More than 50 people crowded into the Melbourne Resistance Centre to take part in a lively May Day toast hosted by the Socialist Alliance on May 3.

The toast had a strong international flavour. Beshir Ishaq, the foreign relations representative of the Eritrean Democratic Alliance; Tamil community leader Sivakumar, Salvador Nunez from the FMLN; and Tim Doughney, electrician apprentice and Socialist Alliance member, gave greetings to the event.
