Correction

A sub-editing error in Green Left Weekly #827, in the article "Teacher activists elected to union council", meant that the article gave the impression that the issue of performance pay leading up to the NSW Teachers' Federation's 2009 annual conference was debated at the February 2010 Council.

This debate did not occur there. It took place as part of a campaign by left sections in the union, which ran over several councils leading up to the 2009 annual conference. It (like the results of the executive election) is a reflection of increasing militancy on council. In other words, the council has been moving leftward over the past year.
