Socialist councillor launches Freo Report website

PERTH — Socialist wharfie Sam Wainwright, elected in October to the Fremantle council, has launched a website to keep residents up to date about the key issues facing the council.

The site can be found at www.FreoReport.net. Residents can sign up to Wainwright's email list, which will cover reports from the council and other issues affecting the people of Fremantle.

"Of course the council itself publishes minutes", Wainwright told Green Left Weekly. "But I will be aiming to give people a bit of more of a sense of who said what and also about the kind of action people can take to make a difference on the important issues before council.
