'Bring the troops home!'

Socialist Alliance members and supporters gathered outside Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's "community Cabinet meeting" at New Town High School in Hobart on October 13, protesting against the war in Afghanistan and calling for troops to be withdrawn.

Protesters battled rain and police harassment to get the message across. The protest followed national actions the previous week, which marked the eighth anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan and called for an end to the brutal occupation.
