Canadian protests for democracy in Honduras
Supporters of deposed Honduran President Manuel Zelaya gathered outside the Brazilian consulate in Toronto on September 23 to demand his return to power, Rabble.ca said on September 25.
Protesters condemned the violent repression, which has left an unknown number of unarmed protesters dead, carried out by the regime of coup leader Roberto Micheletti. The rally called on the Canadian government to take a stand against the coup regime and condemn the repression.
In Vancouver, Roger Annis told Green Left Weekly that rallies in solidarity with Honduras occurred on September 22 outside the offices of private TV station CTV and September 24 outside the offices of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Protesters condemned the silence of the Canadian media about the dramatic events in Honduras.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
