Solidarity with struggle in Iran

Eighty people attended an afternoon rally in Sydney's Martin Place on July 3 to show solidarity with the people of Iran in their struggle for democracy.

The rally was organised by a new coalition of Iranian leftists and democrats. It was addressed by Iranian community activists, Greens MLC Sylvia Hale, Dianne Fields for Socialist Alternative, Peter Boyle for the Socialist Alliance and a speaker from Amnesty International.
