Australians in Gaza denounce Israel
Two Australian peace activists, Emma King and Jessie Boylan, took part in a 300-strong protest in Gaza on June 9.
The protest denounced Israel's brutal occupation of Palestine and the government's refusal to allow an international peace delegation — organised by the Israeli Coalition of Women for Peace and US-based peace organisation CodePink — to enter Gaza.
At the protest King said: "People around the world are watching what is happening in Gaza and know that the siege and occupation are illegal under international law".
The delegation of 40 Israelis and internationals has been forced to wait at the Erez border crossing. They intend to hand over playground equipment and toys donated for the traumatised children of Gaza.
The two Australian activists had entered Gaza with another delegation through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
