Sri Lankan crisis statement gaining support

Human rights lawyer Julian Burnside AO QC, world renowned landscaper and TV personality Jamie Durie, and three NSW Greens MLCs are just some of the prominent Australians that have added their signature to the Sri Lankan Crisis Statement (available at www.srilankancrisis.com ).

The statement expresses "deep concern about the escalating civilian crisis in Sri Lanka".

Since January the Sri Lankan Army has gone on an offensive against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, leaving 250,000 civilians trapped within the conflict zone.

As the death toll rises, more and more people are speaking out against this genocide.
