Stop the war meeting

Aid worker Martin Reusch at a Sydney Stop the War public meeting on October 20. Reusch, who spent 2004-2005 in Afghanistan, gave a brief history of the history of foreign occupations in Afghanistan and argued that the occupying troops must leave. Film-maker Carmella Baranowska introduced her moving 2004 film, Taliban Country, in which she documented US soldiers' gross abuse of Afghan farmers, ostensibly while they hunt for Taliban supporters.
